Project INS launched in TES.

Tortugas Elementary School launched Intensify Numeracy Skills or Project INS on April 19 to help the learners improve their skills in four fundamental operations. This project would run for three months from April 19 – July 6, 2021.

     This would cater 106 learners from grade 1 – 6. These 106 learners were non – numerates based on the result of their pretest in 4Fs.

     Since it is still pandemic, the venue of the conduct of the project is in their homes provided the teachers monitor the conduct of the project at 3:30 – 4:00 in the afternoon in any platform available to the child/ learner. It may be online or offline.

     Project INS is spearheaded by Mrs. Annaliza D. Tuazon, Principal I and would facilitate by Mrs. Connie M. Andrade, School Math Coordinator.

 Tortugas Elementary School believes that the foundation in learning is reading.

Thus, Mrs. Annaliza D. Tuazon, Principal I, initiated Toresian Reading Enhancement Program for Elementary Learners or Project TREPEL to develop literacy skills among non-decoder learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6 learners.

The reading teachers with the help of their reading coordinator, Mrs. Jennifer L. Mendoza, selected two pupils in their grade level to participate in the said project.

The duration of the project is on February 10 – May 7, 2021. 

TES to operate as an Integrated School starting next SY.

     Tortugas Elementary School received its authority to operate as Tortugas Integrated School effective 2021 – 2022 on January 25, 2021.

     Hence, the school would cater grade 7 starting next school year pursuant to the provisions of Deped Order No. 1 series 2003, Republic Act 9155 and Deped Order No. 40 series 2014.

     The community especially the grade 6 students of TES is encouraged to enrol in TIS for grade 7.

The school is presently open for grade 7 enrollment. 

Early Registration for SY 2021 – 2022, to continue until May.

      The last day for Early Registration for the School Year 2021 – 2022 is on April 30, current. But will continue to accept early registrants until the end of May 2021.

      This was announced by Usec. Jesus Mateo from the DepEd Central Office. This is to give more time and opportunity to parents to still register their children. 


Bautista 9th place in Division MTAP

 Micah Angela Bautista got the ninth place in the elimination round of the Division Competition on the 2016 Metrobank MTAP - DepEd Math Challenge. The final competition will be on February 4, 2016 at tenejero Elementary School. 
The main objective of the competition is to encourage them to strive for excellence in Mathematics. 

TES first runner up Division YES - O Best Implementer

Tortugas Elementary School was named as first runner up in the 2013 Division Search for YES - O Best Implementer. Mrs. Zenaida C. San Pedro, Principal II, Mary Grace C. dela Cruz, YES - O Adviser and Marc Jordan Baluyot, YES - O President received their certificate on April 10 during the opening program of the Division Seminar on Child Protection Policy.
