The 5th of October is marked as the Worlds’ Teachers Day. The theme for 2013 World Teachers’ day: “A Call for Teachers”.  The aim is to continue to celebrate the unsung heroes and heroines within the profession and also to let them know that their work is not in vein.

We acknowledged that Teachers are the integral part of the teaching profession because without them the future of our learners is uncertain.

In this connection, Tortugas Elementary School celebrates another joyous world teachers’ day celebration, a special tribute for our beloved teachers. Every grade make their own cards with dedication that will given to their teacher, aside from that, there is an essay writing contest, slogan contest, poster making contest and thank you card making contest portion. The program starts through the national prayer for teachers, led by YssabellaMaglaque, a selected pupil in Grade II, followed by inspirational message and greetings coming from the school head, Mrs. Zenaida C. San Pedro, Principal II. The program included a special presentation by the teachers and also the highlights of gift-giving part of the pupils.

The program ends with the announcement of winners in different contests and brings smile to everyone.
